Parent Education

What types of education do we provide parents?

Throughout the year we hold educational events on the YES system of care and parenting youth with mental health challenges. Topics vary according to parents’ expressed needs. Our yearly May conference has included topics on advocacy and learning about the CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs) Assessment. If you have an idea for an event, please let us know!

When are the events?

We try and sprinkle educational opportunities throughout the year. You can count on an annual conference for parents during May. The best places to keep up to date with what we are offering are our monthly newsletter (join at the bottom of the page) or our events calendar.   • The Boise Brick House Holiday Party

    Join the Boise Brick House and Ms. Waters Community Leadership class to celebrate the end of the semester and the holiday season. Bring your holiday spirit and come drink hot cocoa, decorate cookies, and watch a holiday movie with us. Wear your best ugly sweater for a chance to win our ugly sweater competition. In the spirit of giving, the Boise Brick House has partnered with the Agency for New Americans to complete a Refugee family wishlist and provide household goods and gifts to a family in need. When you come to the party, please bring food, clothes, and gifts to donate to the Agency of New Americans.

  • The Boise Brick House Drop-in Space

    The Boise Brick House is an after-school drop-in space open to 14-18 year olds in Boise. It is a safe space for teens to relax with friends, do homework, eat food, and have empowering discussions about mental health and community wellness. The Boise Brick House is a place for teens to be leaders in mental health awareness and advocacy.

    We are open most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3:15-5:30PM.  Contact Madeline Titelbaum at mtitelbaum@idahofederation.org or 208-433-3910 with any questions.
