Youth MOVE Discord

What is Youth MOVE Discord?

Youth MOVE Discord (YM Discord) is a statewide virtual program for high schoolers throughout Idaho to provide peer emotional support to one another and practice mental health advocacy. YM Discord is meant for high schoolers who live in rural areas, teens who prefer connecting virtually, or can’t attend our in person Youth MOVE groups for other reasons.

The YM Discord group and server is led and managed by a trained FYIdaho Teen Lead. All group topics and activities are driven by the teens who participate in the group. Participants communicate throughout the week via the various chat channels on the server. Chat channels range from art and music, to movies and tv shows, pets, or general life updates. Group meetings take place once a week via voice channel and consist of check-ins, discussions on mental health and resources, and virtual games.

When and Where We Meet:

Teen participants meet via the YM Discord server. Teens communicate in the chat channels throughout the week and meet via voice channel weekly on Sundays from 7:00 – 8:15pm (MST)/ 6:00 – 7:15pm (PST).

It is a safe space for teens to relax with friends, do homework, eat food, and have empowering discussions about mental health and community wellness.     Youth MOVE Downtown is a space for high school age youth in the Boise area to provide peer emotional support to one another and practice mental health advocacy. This group will discuss topics that interest the teen participants, such as mental health, life transitions, school, relationships, healthy coping, identity, and other topics.

Youth MOVE Idaho (YMI), a chapter of Youth MOVE National serves youth through programs that focus on peer to peer support and advocacy.
