Youth MOVE Social Support

What is Youth MOVE Social Support?

Youth MOVE Social Support is a peer-led group for neurodivergent high school age teens. Our mission is to help teens gain self-acceptance, self-discovery, and self-advocacy tools that will help them navigate adulthood. Our goals include building community, friendship connections, and trust. While neurodivergent teens are the main focus, the group is also open to others who would benefit from learning and participating. In this group, we will be discussing topics such as emotional regulation, forming and keeping healthy relationships, and navigating life transitions, and participating in activities such as group discussions and games.

We meet at the Boise Brick House at 704 N 7th Street, Boise, Idaho, 83702. Join us every other Wednesday between 5-6:30pm. Check out our calendar at the bottom of this page to view our meeting schedule.

The Boise Brick House: QPR Training with snacks

    2:45 PM-5:30 PM
    March 1, 2023

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

The Boise Brick House is an after-school drop-in space for 9-12th graders in the Treasure Valley to hang out with friends, eat free food, attend fun events, and have empowering conversations about mental wellness. The Boise Brick House is open Mondays-Wednesdays from 2:45-5:30pm for arts & crafts, games, movies, music, cooking & baking, and more! Follow us on Instagram, @theboisebrickhouse to keep up with our activities.

FYIdaho’s Teen Leadership program provides training, mentorship and leadership opportunities for high schoolers in the Treasure Valley who are passionate about their community and mental health awareness. FYIdaho Teen Leaders receive leadership and mental health training from FYIdaho staff. With support from FYIdaho staff and community partners, Teen Leaders develop and execute a personal project related to community mental health needs and their developed passions and interests.

At peer mentor meetings, FYIdaho Teen Leaders gather to brainstorm and provide support to one another as they plan their personal projects.
